The short
privacy notice.
Last updated: September 29, 2026
MYB Studio LLC operates this website and the MYB Music & Stories app for Android and iOS. This notice explains the account, payment and technical information used to provide membership and streaming in both, and how to delete your account.
What is collected
- Email you send. If you write to hello@mybstudio.app, the message and your reply-to address are received and stored in the inbox like any normal email.
- Basic technical logs. Vercel (the host) keeps standard server logs (IP, browser, page) for security and performance. These are not used for marketing.
- Website analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits, signup steps, membership activity and song playback. We measure playback starting and reaching 30 and 60 seconds, with the song identifier and whether it played in the catalog or press page. Signup events include the form, language and a general error category, never what you typed. Membership events include plan views, selections, checkout openings and cancellations, and confirmed memberships after checkout, with the monthly or yearly plan where relevant. These events do not include your name, email, account ID or payment details. Query strings and URL fragments are removed from analytics page URLs. A temporary checkout marker in your browser tab helps avoid counting the same confirmation twice; it is not sent to analytics.
Membership accounts and payments
- Your account. If you create an MYB account, your email address and a securely hashed password are stored by Supabase, the sign-in service shared by this website and the MYB app. We also keep your membership status (which plan, active or not, when it ends) so the site knows what to unlock.
- Website favorites. When you save a song on the website, Supabase stores its catalog identifier and the date saved with your account so your favorites follow you across browsers and devices. You can remove a favorite at any time. Deleting your account removes this list. These website favorites are separate from favorites stored locally in the mobile app.
- Payments. Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, never to us; we receive the subscription status, the amount, and the last four digits of the card. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to what they hold.
- Deleting your account. See Deleting your MYB account below (also at mybstudio.app/delete-account).
The MYB Music & Stories app
- Same account. The app signs you in with the same MYB account as this website (email address and hashed password, stored by Supabase) and reads the same membership status.
- Subscriptions. App memberships are bought through Google Play or the App Store, which handle the payment; we never see your card. RevenueCat, our subscription service, receives your MYB account identifier, the plan, its status and renewal date, and your purchase history. It uses them to manage your membership (so the app and the website know what to unlock) and for subscription analytics — how many members join, renew or cancel. Google's and Apple's own privacy policies apply to the purchase itself.
- Media delivery. When you play a song or music video, your device fetches it from Bunny, our content delivery network, using a short-lived link issued after a membership check. Like any web server, Bunny logs the IP address and the file requested, for delivery and security only.
- On your device. Favorites, the play queue, listening position and a cached copy of the catalog stay on your phone. They are not sent to us. Uninstalling the app removes them from the device, although a backup made by your phone may restore them if you reinstall.
- Casting. The app includes Google Cast so you can send playback to a Chromecast or Cast-enabled TV. Google Cast sends anonymized casting, device and app information to Google to maintain and improve casting; Google's privacy policy applies to that information, and deleting your MYB account does not remove it because it is not linked to your account.
- Nothing else. The app has no advertising and no advertising identifier. Beyond RevenueCat's subscription analytics and Google Cast, described above, it contains no tracking or analytics services. It does not use your location, contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera.
Deleting your MYB account
This applies to accounts used on this website and in the MYB Music & Stories app (Android and iOS). The same MYB account is used in both.
- Delete in the app. In app versions that offer Delete my account, open your account, choose that option, confirm your password, acknowledge the store-subscription notice and type DELETE. Your confirmed request starts automatic cleanup and signs you out. A provider delay can leave cleanup pending while it retries. If your version does not have this option, use the email route below.
- How to ask. Send an email to support@mybstudio.app with the subject “Delete my MYB account”, from the email address your account uses. If the request comes from a different address we will reply to the account's address to confirm it is really you. We may need to verify ownership before deleting the account. An active subscription does not stop you from asking.
- Store subscriptions. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store, and the store keeps billing you until it is cancelled. Cancel it in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) or on iPhone (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). If you ask, we can cancel a Google Play subscription for you; an App Store subscription can only be cancelled by you.
- Website membership. A membership paid by card on this site is cancelled during cleanup, ending access. A period you have already paid for is not refunded automatically, and any payment still being processed is settled before the account is closed.
- What is deleted. Your sign-in account (email address and hashed password) and its sessions; your saved website favorites; your membership records (plan, status, dates); the billing and checkout records that link your account to Stripe; the RevenueCat customer record that links your account to store purchases; the personal details inside our billing event records; and, on request, our email correspondence with you. Already-issued media links remain usable until they expire, and media already downloaded or buffered may continue playing. Anonymous casting information held by Google (see the app section of the privacy notice) is not linked to your account and is not affected.
- What is kept. Payment records that tax and accounting law require a business to keep are retained for the legally required period, no longer linked to a usable account, and never used for anything else. Stripe, Google and Apple keep their own transaction and purchase records under their own privacy policies. Server logs and backups roll over on their own schedule.
- What happens next. For an email request, we confirm receipt and completion by email, listing anything that had to be kept and why. For an in-app request, the app confirms acceptance; cleanup continues automatically. If cleanup is delayed or you need confirmation, contact support@mybstudio.app from your account email. Deletion is permanent: a later sign-up with the same email starts a brand-new account, and whether a free trial is still available is decided by Google or Apple, not by us.
- On your phone. Favorites, playlists, saved articles, the play queue, listening position and the cached catalog that the app keeps on your device are not sent to us and are not part of your account. You can clear them in your phone's app settings; uninstalling removes them too, although a device backup made by your phone may restore them if you reinstall.
What is not collected
- No advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
- No newsletter signups stored anywhere unless you opt in.
- No data sold to anyone, ever.
Your rights
You can email hello@mybstudio.app to ask what is held about you. To delete your account, follow Deleting your MYB account. We will respond to requests about your account, membership and correspondence.
Local storage and service providers
Your browser stores your sign-in session, listening position and saved preferences. Supabase provides accounts and membership records, Stripe processes website payments, Google Play and the App Store process app subscriptions with RevenueCat keeping their status, Bunny delivers media, Vercel hosts the site, and Google Workspace sends account emails. These services receive the information needed to perform those functions.
